An MV-22B Osprey crashed Saturday after taking off from amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) and while on final approach to amphibious transport dock USS Green Bay (LPD-20) off the coast of Queensland, Australia. Twenty-three of the 26 aircrewmen and passengers were rescued by small boats and helicopters, but 1stLt Cross, Cpl Ordway and PFC Velasco were not recovered from the water.

The disaster occurred only a month after a Marine Corps KC-130T crashed in Mississippi, killing 16. Help us by donating, and proceeds go directly to the squadron families without fee from us. You will help fund things like airfare, hotels, rental cars, meals, and even unit memorials.

The families and squadron affected by this mishap have given The Wingman Foundation their full support in launching this fundraiser to help with current and future expenses. Rest assured, 100% of all donations will go to those affected.
